Who we are?
Welcome to our SPE student chapter, if you are new here let me quickly introduce you to what we do and who we are. We are part of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, an international organization with the goal to disseminate information and provide a networking platform. Our chapter’s goal is meant to introduce students to the industry through different activities as well as providing networking, social events and much more. We provide plenty opportunities every year to meet professionals and learn about the industry first hand. Alternatively, the chapter puts on several social events on campus where you can meet your fellow students outside the classroom and connect with your chapter officers. If you are interested in the petroleum industry contact us for further information and instructions for signing up.
We help in starting a successful career from the first step on or simply enhance your career!
The SPE student chapter TU Clausthal is one of the 82 Student chapters in 30 different countries around the globe. The main activity of the chapter is to organize company presentations and excursions during the semester. These presentations are also attended by students of geosciences. In addition to this, the chapter works in very close collaboration with the GSSPE (German Section-SPE), whose goal is the enhancement of university training, scientific research, technical advance, the cooperation of economy and science as well as engineering on the area of petroleum and natural gas-sciences. It organizes the transfer of students to the official meetings, technical presentation and discussions of the German Section. This gives us the opportunity to take a close look at the petroleum industry and its projects.
